Experience the true wonder of a Gorilla Safari in Uganda where you will walk through the magical forests and, if you are lucky, spend some time with these magnificent gorillas!
This primate adventure can be combined with any of our regular safari itineraries or could be done as a stand-alone expedition.

Day 1: Arrival
You will be met at the airport upon your arrival I Kampala and transported to your hotel. It may be possible to arrange an optional activity in the afternoon, should your flight arrive early enough. Please enquire about the optional activities that are available, such as a visit to the Kasubi Tombs or Bahai Temple, at the time of making your reservation with us. [D]

Day 2: En-route to Bwindi
This morning we are off to an early start and will meet at your hotel at 06.30am. We will begin the drive to Bwindi by 06.45am and enjoy a “photo” stop at the equator. Thereafter, we will proceed to Mbarara for lunch and drive straight to Bwindi, with other stops at places of interest. Once we reach the lodge, you will be able to relax, unpack and enjoy conversations filled with the anticipation of tomorrow’s adventure! [BLD]

Day 3: Gorilla Experience
The exciting day has arrived - after breakfast you will depart for the park headquarters for registration and a pre-trek brief by one of the rangers. It is important to remember that a reasonable degree of fitness is required for gorilla trekking, as it can take between one to nine hours to find the gorillas while trekking through very thick undergrowth.
Actual interaction is restricted to one hour maximum.
Also please note the rules and regulations for interaction as stipulated at the bottom of this document. After a day spent witnessing these magnificent animals that very few people ever get to see in their natural habitat, we return to our lodge for the evening. [BLD]

Day 4: Departure
This morning we have an early start for Kampala, with relevant stops at places of interest and a picnic lunch en route. We arrive in Kampala late afternoon.
